Top Lake

Our three acre ‘Top lake’ comprises of 18 secluded swims and contains 250 carp with mixed sizes from 10-43 lbs.

With two main bodies connected via a narrow channel there are varying depths from 3-9 ft . The lake has many gravel bars, silt channels, three islands, back channels and some of the best margin fishing available.

This lake has the biggest known carp on the complex, currently recorded at 43lb. The fish stock in this lake has been selected for looks over growth. Top Lake now has 35 recorded carp over 30lb with 10 being over the 35lb mark, also a few more on top of that expected to be over the 30lb. There are 250 carp present with mixed sizes from 10-43lbs.

The stock in this lake really love their bait, we recommend you speak to either Stephen or Olly on arrival in the tackle shop and they will discuss the relevant tactics that have proven successful.

  • ALL NETS MATS AND SLINGS MUST BE DIPPED IN OUR ON SITE NET DIP BEFORE FISHING
  • 42″ nets must be used
  • Large padded unhooking mats must be used
  • No fires
  • No Barbed Hooks
  •  No Leadcore
  • Two Rods MAX
  • Carp Care must be used
  • No retainers or sacks
  • Nuts, Peas or Beans cannot be loose fed.
  • Only recyclable rubbish in large green bins
  • Whelford pools accepts no liability for personal  injury or loss of property
  • No dog allowed
  • All fishing bookings are non refundable or transferable, please get in touch if you have any issue with your booking

Arrival time when booked on Top Lake is 10:00am only.

There is a charge of £20 levied for opening the gates during closed times. These are between 9:30pm and 7:00am
